Gather your supplies:

Start with the rocks…

What do you need to get started painting rocks? It’s pretty simple. Just rocks and paint! Navajo Skippers are the perfect canvas because they are large and flat. At Dragonfly Landscape Supply, we have lots of Navajo Skippers to choose from in a range of shapes and sizes.

Now the paint…

When painting rocks, acrylic paint is your best option because not only is it bright, but it will withstand the elements better than other paints. We also suggest using different sized paintbrushes to get your ideal design. Don’t forget to cover your workspace with newspaper to limit the mess (especially if you have kiddos involved…and we highly suggest you do! It’s a great family activity).
